The footage shows one of the biggest stars of the Italian national team -Paola Egonu, visibly exhausted, while getting off the team bus after morning practice.

The volleyball player is supported by members of the Italian staff, which clearly indicates serious physical discomfort. Brazilian media also reported on awheelchair, placed at the entrance of the hotel where the Italian team is staying, which further amplified concerns about the health of the volleyball star.

Later in the day,The Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV)published an official statement denying the presence of an injury. The statement clarified:

"Paola Egonu exhibited ahypotensive syndrome, caused by the high temperatures and extreme humidity during training. Her condition will bemonitored and evaluated by the medical staffin the coming hours."

Despite the reassurance from the federation, fans of Egonu and the Italian national team are closely awaiting further information on her recovery, especially given the upcoming important matches in the international calendar.
