New talent next to Alex Nikolov: Cucine Lube relies on 17-year-old Noah Duflo-Rossi

After winning a silver medal in the Italian SuperLega, Cucine Lube Civitanova is making a strong start to their summer selection with a new, promising acquisition. The team of Bulgarian star Alex Nikolov now has another promising name – French outside hitter Noah Duflo-Rossi, only 17 years old (he will turn 18 on October 9th), but with an impressive resume and ambitions that align with Lube's future project. We informed you about the upcoming transfer at the end of February, but now it is officially a fact.

Duflo-Rossi signed a three-year contract with the Italian giant and will have the unique opportunity to grow in one of the highest-quality volleyball clubs in Europe. Born in Sète and raised in the legendary academy ofCentre National du Volley-Ball— the French equivalent of Club Italia – the young outside hitter arrives with extensive experience at the youth level. U19 World Champion (2023), U19 and U21 European Champion (2024), best outside hitter and MVP of the last European Championship – all this in just two years.

Noah comes to Lube after a strong season in the French Liga A with Spacer's Toulouse, where he already played as a starter alongside Bulgarian international Iliya Petkov, and has already been called up to the French senior national team for the Nations League, at the discretion of coach Andrea Giani.

"To be part of Cucine Lube is a dream come true. I know a serious challenge awaits me, but I'm here to learn, develop, and help the team," shares Duflo-Rossi himself.

The club's General Director, Beppe Cormio, is adamant: "We have been following Noah for a long time. He is one of the best-prepared young players in the world. Our philosophy is clear – to grow together with talents. And Noah is a long-term investment."

With his 198 cm, great technique, and excellent play in defense and attack, Lube's new acquisition will have the opportunity to train and develop alongside players like Alex Nikolov – the Bulgarian international who is already an established name in world volleyball.

With the signing of Duflo-Rossi, Cucine Lube is not just strengthening its squad, but clearly stating its intention: building a new generation of stars with a strong identity and a long-term perspective.
