Rankings shifts after the first three matches in China
The Polish women's national volleyball team started its participation in the 2025 Nations League with a convincing 3:0 (25:22, 26:24, 25:22) victory over Thailand.
The Polish volleyball players, led by stars such as Magdalena Stysiak, Olivia Różański, and Malwina Smarzek, showed stable play and managed to win in all three sets, despite serious resistance from the Asian team.
The top scorer in the match was Pimpichaya Kokuram from Thailand, who finished with an impressive 22 points. For Poland, Różański scored the most with 17 points, followed by Stysiak and Łukasik with 15 each, Korneluk with 9, Gryka with 7, and Smarzek with 3 points.
With this victory, Poland added 2.69 points to its active score in the FIVB world ranking, reaching a total of 352.46 points. Thus, before the last match in Beijing between the hosts and Belgium, the team occupies 5th place in the ranking, immediately behind Turkey (352.62 points), which won the first match of the group against France with a 3:1 score.
In the last match of the day in Beijing, the hosts met resistance from the Belgian team only in the second set and recorded a clean 3:0 (25:18, 27:25, 25:13) victory.
China won 2.56 points for the FIVB world ranking and reached a total of 352.86 points, surpassing Turkey, moving up 2 places to 4th place. Belgium lost 2.56 points and dropped 1 place to 15th. Turkey dropped to 5th place in the FIVB world ranking with 352.62 points, and Poland is sixth with 352.45 points.
