BOGDANKA LUK Lublin parts ways with coach Massimo Botti and three players after golden season

Following the historic winning of the championship title in the Polish volleyball PlusLiga, the club BOGDANKA LUK Lublin officially announced the first changes in the squad and coaching staff.

As expected, Italian coach Massimo Botti will not lead the team next season. He leaves the club along with two members of his team - Andrzej Zahorski (physical conditioning coach) and Maciej Bernacki (physiotherapist). Speculations about Botti's move to Asseco Resovia Rzeszów emerged during the season, but no one expected that he would lead LUK to the Challenge Cup and the first title in Poland's elite.

In addition to staff changes, the club is also parting ways with three players:

  • Jan Nowakowski, the team's main middle blocker since 2021, leaves after 121 matches with LUK. In the last season alone, he scored 83 points, 58 of which were in attack, 23 in block, and 2 from serve.

  • Ben Tuinstra, Dutch opposite hitter, who played 28 matches and scored 230 points (198 in attack, 17 block, 15 aces).

  • Mikołaj Slotarski, a young setter, recruited from the I Men's League, who gained valuable experience and participated in 9 matches.
