Addis Lagumdžija questionable for the match against Bulgaria in Burgas

The Turkish national volleyball team might face Bulgaria in Burgas without one of its key players – opposite hitter Adis Lagumdzija. The Turkish Volleyball Federation confirmed that the player sustained a shoulder injury during the second friendly match against the Netherlands. Treatment has already begun, but his participation in the 2025 Nations League (VNL) tournament remains uncertain.

An official statement said that Lagumdzija will miss the first VNL tournament, which will take place in China, and Berk Dilmenler has been called up to the squad in his place. It has not yet been specified whether the Turkish opposite hitter will recover in time for the second stage of the competition, which will be held in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria vs. Turkey Match: A Key Moment in the Competition

The match between Bulgaria and Turkey is scheduled for June 28 at 7:00 PM in "Arena Burgas" hall and is part of the second Nations League tournament. The tournament will also bring together the teams of France, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Japan in the seaside city and will be played from June 25 to 29.

For volleyball fans in Bulgaria, this will be a chance to see their favorite players live, including Alex Nikolov, who was a teammate of Lagumdzija last season at the Italian powerhouse "Cucine Lube Civitanova."

Turkey's Star – Lagumdzija

The 26-year-old opposite hitter has been a leading scorer and an integral part of the Turkish squad in recent years. His absence could seriously weaken Turkey's attacking power against the "Lions," especially in a match with high emotional and tournament stakes like the one in Burgas.

Tickets are now on sale

Volleyball enthusiasts who want to be part of the atmosphere in "Arena Burgas" can purchase tickets through the Eventim platform. Significant interest and full stands are expected to support the national team in their battle for qualification to the VNL knockout phase.
