The Turkish Volleyball Federation confirmed that the player sustained a shoulder injury during the second friendly match against the Netherlands. Treatment has already begun, but his participation in the 2025 Nations League (VNL) tournament remains uncertain.

An official statement said that Lagumdzija will miss the first VNL tournament, which will take place in China, and Berk Dilmenler has been called up to the squad in his place. It has not yet been specified whether the Turkish opposite hitter will recover in time for the second stage of the competition, which will be held in Bulgaria.
