The World Cup MVP will grab 100,000 dollars

The topic of financial recognition for volleyball players has finally found its echo on an international level. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced an unprecedented increase in the prize fund for the 2025 World Cup, taking a huge step towards a fairer evaluation of work and talent in this sport.

🏆 Team Awards

The world champion will now receive an impressive1 million dollars– five times more than the previous 200,000 dollars. The vice-champions will take home500,000 dollarsand the bronze medalists –250,000 dollars. These are sums that until now seemed unattainable for the volleyball scene.

👤 Individual Awards

The Most Valuable Player (MVP) will receive a bonus of100,000 dollars. Additionally, every player selected for the prestigious "dream team" will be rewarded with50,000 dollars. This highlights FIVB's desire to bring individual contributions to the forefront, rewarding them appropriately.

Tournament Framework

The World Cup will be held fromSeptember 12 to 28, 2025, where for 16 days the world volleyball elite will compete not only for glory, but also for significantly higher material recognition.
