Revolution in volleyball: debut of the ASB GlassFloor glass court in the friendly match Germany – Italy

A historic moment awaits world volleyball on Sunday, May 26: for the first time in an international match, thehigh-tech ASB GlassFloor glass court will be used. The host of this new era in sports will beBMW Park in Munich, where at 4:00 PM Germany will host world champion Italy in a friendly match dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Bavarian Volleyball Association.

ASB GlassFloor is arevolutionary sports surface, made of tempered glass with a special matte layer and integrated LED lines that allow for complete digital flexibility:

  • The court lines can bechanged instantlydepending on the sport.

  • It is possible toembed animations, graphics and advertisementsdirectly into the floor.

  • The system improvesvisibility for spectatorsboth on site and on television.

  • It providesoptimal safety and gripcomparable to standard sports floors.

It is against Italy - one of the leading forces in world volleyball - thatthe international debutof this court will be made, which has the potential to fundamentally change the visual and functional aspects of indoor sports.

In addition to being a prestigious test for both teams before the Volleyball Nations League, the match will also be ademonstration of the futureof the sport before the eyes of the global volleyball community.
