Bulgarian volleyball players born in 2007 and 2008 may very soon get a real chance for development and playing practice at a senior level! The National Volleyball League-Men (NVL) is preparing an innovative proposal that aims precisely at this - to provide playing time for our most talented juniors fromefbet Super Volley, by giving them the opportunity to compete for teams fromthe Higher League.
According to the project, clubs from the second strongest group in Bulgaria will be able to include in their squad up totwo senior juniors, registered in efbet Super Volley, for the championship matches. Thus, the youngsters will continue to train with their elite teams during the week, but will gain valuable experience and game mentality in the Higher League on weekends. 🇧🇬
📢Zhivko Zhelev, president of the NVL-Men, clarified:
"The reason is clear - the lack of enough Bulgarian players ready for the elite level. Without playing practice, young talents cannot establish themselves. This proposal provides an opportunity not only for individual development, but also for better performance of the youth national teams."
This measure already enjoyswide supportfrom both the efbet Super Volley clubs and those in the Higher League. The project also provides forflexibility in the distribution of juniorsbetween the two teams - for example, a player to be in the Super Volley squad on Friday, and on Saturday to play for a team from the Higher League, provided there is no conflict in the schedule.
🏐Important transition
According to Zhelev, the transition from junior to senior volleyball is a critical moment when many boys give up:
"They have qualities, but they lack patience. They don't play, they only train. With this decision, we are giving an opportunity to about30-35 young volleyball playersto be starters at the men's level - something invaluable for their development."
📌 The project has already been submitted for discussion by the Management Board of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and has the potential to come into force as early asthe 2025/26 season. An expansion to the "A" National Volleyball Group (NVG) is even planned, considering logistics and development in various regions of the country.
📊Comment:
Such a step is not only timely but also vital for the future of our men's national volleyball. The successful realization of talents depends not only on their individual effort but also on systemic decisions like this. 👏🇧🇬
🗣 We will closely monitor the development of the idea - and which of the young Bulgarian talents will be the first to benefit from it.
