Alex Grozdanov remains with BOGDANKA LUK Lublin

Bulgarian central blocker and national team captain Alex Grozdanov extended his stay at BOGDANKA LUK Lublin after an extremely strong season, in which he led the team togold in the Polish PlusLiga and triumph in the Challenge Cup! 🏆🇵🇱 This is a new serious step in his stable international career, proving his value at the highest level. Grozdanov hinted at staying in Poland in his interview specifically for volleyweek.bg, immediately after winning the Polish championship title.

💪Grozdanov finished the season with 99 successful blocks— the second-best result in the entire PlusLiga! Only one block separated him from the top, occupied by Norbert Huber. The Bulgarian scored317 points(195 in attack, 99 on block, 23 aces from service), withhis strongest match being against Indykpol AZS Olsztyn - 14 points. He was a pillar in defense and a stable support in key matches, including in the Challenge Cup.

🏐 The 27-year-old player started from his nativeDobrudzha (Dobrich), and then made a long and successful journey through Europe -Italy (Verona, Ravenna, Monza, again Verona) and Belgium (Maaseik). Wherever he played, he left his mark -Bulgarian Cup (2016/17), CEV Cup with Monza (2021/22), Challenge Cup with LUK (2024/25) and championship titles in Belgium and Poland. 🏅

🟡🟢 In the LUK Lublin squad, Alex became a key figure, and the club retains other key players such as libero Thales Hoss, setter Marcin Komenda and star Wilfredo Leon, who also officially remains with the team. The team retains the core that brought the double crown during the season.

🔜 A new season awaits us, in which Alex Grozdanov will again be at the center of events - with blocks, serves and a fight for even more trophies, with the Champions League in sight. Bulgarian presence in PlusLiga remains strong and significant! 🇧🇬🔥
