A historic moment for Bulgarian volleyball - the awards ceremony for the new prize"Bulgarian Pride" gathered in one placeall national teams and some of the greatest legends of our sport. At the "Vitosha" Hotel - symbolically in the heart of Sofia - generations of champions and hopes met.

🌟 Alex and Simeon Nikolovi, leading figures in our first men's national team, inspired the younger ones, whilethe captain of the women's team - Elitsa Atanasievich - came with her son to show how continuity is built in our most successful sport. 🇧🇬👶

🔴 The new kits were presented, provided by "Sport Respect" company, which will dress a total ofeight Bulgarian national squads - atsix world and two European championships this summer. The design - symbolically - weaves in the message of unity.

🗣️ "I want us to play in such a way that fans wake up in the middle of the night to watch us", said with excitement the coach of the women's national teamAntonina Zetova,

whileAlex Nikolovstressed the importance of the upcoming tournament of theNations League in Burgas:
„It's a great honor to be among such names from our history.“

🏆 The first recipients of the "Bulgarian Pride" award, established by theBulgarian Volleyball Federationarevolleyball players who have ended their careers in the last 20 yearsleaving a bright mark in our history. Among them:
Boyan Yordanov, Andrey Zhekov, Tsvetan Sokolov, Vladimir Nikolov, Viktor Yosifov, Teodor Salparov, Evgeni Ivanov, Plamen Konstantinov, Todor Aleksiev, Nikolay Uchikov, Emiliya Dimitrova, Nikolay Penchev and many other beloved names.

🎙️ Tsvetan Sokolov, last in alphabetical order, summarized everyone's excitement:
„Volleyball brought us together and made us who we are. The initiative is great!“

💬 The President of the federation Lyubomir Ganev was categorical:
„Each of you has a place in the glorious showcase of Bulgarian sports. I hope the "Bulgarian Pride" award will also shine there.“

🎖️ The eponymous award has already become a symbol. It will be presented every year to people who have given their hearts for their homeland and its volleyball. ❤️💚💛
