Bulgarian star and national team captain Elitsa Vasileva-Atanasijevic is now officially the newest addition to the Greek volleyball club Panionios. The experienced outside hitter, who last played for Fenerbahce Medicana, will continue her career in the Greek league.

After signing her contract, Vasileva stated:

"I feel grateful and happy to be part of Panionios next season. I can't wait to arrive in Athens, meet all the team members, and gain experience in the Greek championship. I hope we win many cups and have a great season."

Panionios has already begun its preparations for the new season, renewing contracts with coach Dragan Nesic and several key players – Ioanna Karelia, Bianka Busa, and Maria Nomikou. The team also welcomed Georgia Lambrousi, Stella Christodoulou, Evelina Flikau, and Katerina Zachaiou.

With the acquisition of Vasileva, Panionios makes a serious statement for a strong season in the Greek elite. 🇬🇷🔥
