The association "VOLLEYBALL CLUB AT THE UNITED SPORTS CLUB - SLAVIA" has withdrawn from the legal battle with the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, thus allowing the process of registering the new management of the BFV to continue.⚖️🏐 This is clear from Order No. 1814 of the Sofia City Court dated April 29, 2025.
We remind you that VC "Slavia" appealed to the Sofia City Court, challenging the legitimacy of the decisions taken at the Federation's General Reporting and Election Assembly on September 28, 2024. The case led to a temporary suspension by the court of the registration of the new governing bodies in the Commercial Register, during which time the old Management Board continued to perform its functions.
🔚 On April 29, 2025, however, the club officially withdrew its claim under Article 232 of the Civil Procedure Code, and the court terminated the case with an order issued in a closed session.
⚖️ What follows – with the termination of the case, the judicial measure for suspending registrations is also lifted. This means that the BFV can now proceed with the changes in its management in the Commercial Register, if the order is not appealed and enters into force. It is awaited for all legally defined deadlines to expire and for the order to enter into force.
This move puts an end to the saga, and after the final registration, the new Management Board will look like this:
Alexander Popov
Alexander Ivanov
Borislav Kyosev - Vice President
Velislav Yonev
Deyan Ninov (new member)
Dimo Tonev (new member)
