The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and Demax Group will continue their joint work through the 2026/2027 season. The new contract was signed by the President of the BFV, Lyubomir Ganev, and the owner of the company, Petar Kanev, with Demax Group retaining its status as general partner of the National Women's Volleyball League.
The partnership continues during a period when the structure of women's club volleyball in our country already includes two levels. In the upcoming season, 10 teams will participate in the Demax Group Super League, while 11 teams will compete in the Higher League.
The creation of the second level is one of the significant changes in the women's division in recent years. The Higher League provides an opportunity for more clubs and young female volleyball players to participate in an organized championship and make the transition to the highest level. The first winner of the competition was Volleyball Academy Stoichev and Kaziyski, which won the historic first title in March 2026.
Changes are also expected in the Super League. For the 2026/2027 season, the championship will be held in a new format with three phases. The idea is to increase the number of equally matched games and matches with greater sporting value.
The BFV describes Demax Group's long-term support as an important part of the development of the women's championship. The President of the federation, Lyubomir Ganev, emphasized that the cooperation with the company has helped expand the competitive structure and create more opportunities for young athletes.
The new contract guarantees the continuation of the partnership for the next season, in which the women's NVL will take the next step with 21 teams in its two divisions.
