Beroe deservedly kept the cup at home after the grand final in the local Ivan Vazov Hall against Slavia, won with 3:1.
Beroe Stara Zagora is the new champion of Bulgaria for boys up to 20 years old! The green-and-whites triumphed in the national championship after a difficult start to the final tournament, played in their hometown. Beroe defeated metropolitan Slavia in the final with 3:1 sets (25:23, 25:27, 25:22 and 25:17).
It was against today's opponent that the team from Stara Zagora suffered their first and only loss in the tournament. Today, Beroe definitely took sweet revenge, and what a revenge it was – garnished with the championship cup.
Despite everything, Slavia was a completely worthy opponent; it should not be forgotten that many of these boys went through the extremely difficult path from the Men's Higher League to the Super League. In the new season, we will watch the volleyball players in the elite of men's volleyball.
Immediately after the end of the match, the ecstatic home fans, who filled the Ivan Vazov Hall in the city of linden trees to capacity, sang the familiar but somewhat forgotten refrain in Stara Zagora, 'The Cup is ours!'
Congratulations to all citizens of Stara Zagora and Beroe fans!
There is no mine, there is no yours, the world is Beroe!
