A historical moment for Bulgarian volleyball – Alex Grozdanov became Polish champion after his team Bogdanka LUK Lublin decisively defeated Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie 3:0 (25:22, 25:15, 25:18) and won the final series 3:1! 🥇
🎉 In the packed hall“Globus”in Lublin, our boy celebrated his first PlusLiga title in his debut season in this championship. The middle blocker and captain of the Bulgarian national team was consistent throughout the season and part of this sensational fairy tale, with which Lublin – a club founded just 12 years ago – ascended to the Polish volleyball throne. 👑🇵🇱
💬 Grozdanov, who showed class, character, and consistency, became one of the stable names in coach Massimo Botti's selection.
The Bulgarian international finished the PlusLiga championship final with 7 points, including 3 blocks and 56% attacking efficiency, showing composure and class in the decisive moment! 💪🇧🇬
🔥 Kevin Sasak was the most effective for the champions with 14 points, while star Wilfredo Leon and Mikołaj Sawicki added 13 each. Lublin's serve, block, and aggressive play left no chance for the opponent – 3:0 (25:22, 25:15, 25:18) and the title went to the city, which until recently was just "a dot on the map" for the Polish elite.
