The group stage of EuroVolley 2026 Women is coming to an end, and the picture for the eliminations is gradually taking shape. The four Round of 16 pairings, which will be played in Brno, as well as the match schedule, are already known.
Bulgaria will face Italy on Monday, August 31, at 4:00 PM Bulgarian time. The match will be played in Pavilion P of the exhibition center in Brno.
Our national team, led by Marcello Abbondanza, finished fourth in Group B after losing to hosts Czech Republic with 0:3 (26:28, 19:25, 19:25). Thus, Bulgaria will meet the winner of Group D – Italy, led by Julio Velasco.
The match will be broadcast live in Bulgaria on MAX Sport 2, and the game will also be available on bTV Media Group channels, as well as online on VOYO. As of now, bTV Media Group has not yet announced which specific TV channel will air the match.
The Round of 16 in Brno begins on August 30. At 4:00 PM, France will meet Greece, and at 7:00 PM, Serbia will play against Croatia.
On August 31, the program continues with Italy – Bulgaria at 4:00 PM, and at 7:00 PM, the Czech Republic will face Sweden.

The winner of the Italy - Bulgaria match will face the winner of the Czech Republic – Sweden match in the quarterfinals.
The remaining Round of 16 pairings will become clear after the completion of the matches in Groups A and C. On Friday, August 28, Slovenia – Hungary and Turkey – Poland are scheduled in Group A, as well as Spain – Romania and Azerbaijan – Netherlands in Group C.
