The coach of the Bulgarian national team revealed her plans for the preparation of the volleyball players and how they will build competitiveness for the upcoming tournaments.
Toni Zetova shared in an interview for the show "Zona Volley" on MAX Sport 2 that it was not difficult to convince the players to return to the national team, especially when it comes to high-class professionals like Elitsa Atanasijevic, Hristina Vuchkova, Lora Kitipova, and Nasya Dimitrova. She emphasized that when the idea was shared with them, it was easy for them to join the cause.
Zetova noted that all players from the announced list are available, despite some with physical problems who will need time. Despite the busy calendar, the team will only have one tournament in Poland for preparation, as it is difficult to organize more control matches.
She expressed her expectations for the tournament in Poland, emphasizing that teams like Canada are stable and many of their players play in strong European clubs. Zetova shared that they will work hard to create good form and a style of play that will be competitive against strong teams like Serbia, Italy, and the USA.
Toni Zetova stated that the goal is not necessarily to achieve victories, but to build synergy and a style of play that will allow the team to be adequate against strong opponents, while young players will have the opportunity to grow with the experience of their older colleagues.
