The national team of North Macedonia will play three control matches against Beroe (Stara Zagora) in the final stage of its preparation for EuroVolley 2026. This was announced on the website of our western neighbor's federation.
The Bulgarian team will be in Skopje from September 1 to 4, and the test matches will be held at the "Jane Sandanski" sports center. The coaching staffs will additionally clarify whether the matches will be open to the public or played behind closed doors.
For North Macedonia, these will be the last test matches before the country's fourth participation in a European Championship.
Beroe played in the playoffs of the Bulgarian championship last season and participated in the European club tournament "Challenge Cup".
The three matches against the team from Stara Zagora will give the head coach of North Macedonia, Joshko Milenkoski, the opportunity to make final adjustments before EuroVolley 2026.
North Macedonia is in Group B of the European Championship along with Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine, Portugal, and Israel. The group matches will be played in "Arena 8888 Sofia".
