Bulgarian national Alex Grozdanov, part of the Bogdanka LUK Lublin squad, will face a new serious challenge in the final series of the Polish PlusLiga – he will be up against none other than the legendary German opposite Georg Grozer, who will strengthen Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie under the medical transfer rule.
🩺 The reason for the emergency transfer is the severe injury of the starter Karol Butryn, who is out of the squad until the end of the season. According to the league regulations, clubs have the right to make one medical transfer if the absent player has played a certain number of matches.
🇩🇪 Who is Georg Grozer?
One of the most prominent figures in German volleyball over the last two decades.
He played for Asseco Resovia in the past, and his last club was Arkas Spor Izmir.

From next season, he will join Shanghai – the team of Pole Michał Kubiak.
His joining Warta Zawiercie marks a return to PlusLiga, just in time for the battle for gold.
