Poland will have a new volleyball champion!In an extremely dramatic and contested third match of the PlusLiga semi-final series, the team ofBogdanka LUK Lublinmanaged to prevail over the defending champions of the last two years, the team ofJASTRZĘBSKI Węgielwith3:2 (25:22, 20:25, 26:24, 23:25, 15:9).

With this victory, Bogdanka LUK Lublin records anhistoric qualification for the finalof the Polish championship, which is the first medal in the club's history.

The match was a real battle, decided in the fifth decisive set, marked by exceptional individual performances. For the winners from Lublin, the top scorer wasKevin Sasak with 23 points, including an impressive6 blocks. World starWilfredo Leónadded19 points (2 aces, 1 block). The captain of the national teamAlex Grozdanov also played a very strong game, finishing with10 points (3 aces, 3 blocks), makingonly one service error.

For the champions' team, despite the loss,Tomasz Fornal had a "mind-blowing" match with28 points (7 aces, 4 blocks), aided byŁukasz Kaczmarek with 19 points (2 aces, 1 block), but their efforts were not enough for the win.

The match took place in the "Jastrzębie-Zdrój" hall to a full house, and before the start, Pope Francis's memory was honored. The home team was missing injured libero Jakub Popiwczak, replaced by young Jakub Jurczyk, who had a strong game.

The development of the sets was extremely tense, with constant comebacks and lead changes. In the end, in the tie-break, Bogdanka LUK Lublin showed stronger nerves and prevailed with 15:9, winning the match and the series.
