Boskovic and Ognjenovic against Bulgaria at EuroVolley, Terzic announced the squad

The Serbian women's national team will feature its big stars Maja Ognjenović and Tijana Bošković for the match against Bulgaria at the 2026 Women's European Volleyball Championship.
Serbia's coach Zoran Terzić has named a squad of 15 volleyball players who will depart on Wednesday, August 19, via Vienna for Brno, where the matches of Group "B" of EuroVolley 2026 will be played. Serbia will be at EuroVolley 2026 without three important players – Maja Aleksić, Katarina Dangubić, and Maša Kirov. Dangubić and Kirov are out due to severe knee injuries with torn anterior cruciate ligaments, and Aleksić is also not among the 15 selected by Zoran Terzić for Brno.
Bulgaria will face Serbia on August 24 at 8:00 PM Bulgarian time.
Among Terzić's chosen players are two of the biggest stars of Serbian volleyball – setter Maja Ognjenović and opposite Tijana Bošković.
Serbia's squad for EuroVolley 2026:
Setters: Maja Ognjenović, Slađana Mirković
Opposites: Tijana Bošković, Anja Zubić
Liberos: Aleksandra Jegdić, Bojana Gočanin
Middle Blockers: Hena Kurtagić, Mina Popović, Minja Osmajić, Ljubica Milojević
Outside Hitters: Aleksandra Uzelac, Vanja Ivanović, Branka Tica, Nina Čaić, Nađa Antonović
The match in Brno will be another encounter between Bulgaria and Serbia just about a month after the last clash between the two teams.
On July 8, 2026, in the third week of the Nations League (VNL) in Belgrade, Bulgaria lost to Serbia 0:3 (16:25, 19:25, 25:27).
Now the two teams will face each other again, but this time the stakes will be related to the standings in Group "B" of the European Championship. The top four teams from the group will advance to the round of 16.
EuroVolley 2026 will take place from August 21 to September 6.
