18,000 spectators will be able to watch the volleyball final at the LA 2028 Olympics

Honda Center in Anaheim will officially be the venue for indoor volleyball competitions at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games!🎉

🏟Capacity:up to 18,000 spectators
📍Location:only 2 miles from the US national team's training center
🗓Olympic Games:July 14–30, 2028
👥Participants:12 men's and 12 women's teams
🔁Name during the Games:will be temporarily calledArena in Anaheim

Mayor Ashley Aitken stated:

“Olympic volleyball is coming to the right place. Anaheim has a long and important history with this sport.” 🌟

🇺🇸 Legend Karch Kiraly, Olympic champion indoors and on the beach, and current coach of the US men's team, called the news"fantastic"and highlighted the convenience for the team:

"It can't be more convenient than this."

💬 According to Kiraly, the team's move from Colorado Springs to sea level in Anaheim played a key role in US successes after 2008.

📍The infrastructure will be bolstered by the new OCVibe projectwhich includes:

  • concert halls, restaurants, and fan zones

  • a pedestrian bridge to ARTIC (the city's transport hub)

  • a new multi-story car park and access to Angel Stadium
