Montana continues its selection for the 2026/27 season. The team from the Northwest has signed 23-year-old Brazilian Joao Vitor dos Santos Lima, who arrives from Saneago Goiás Vôlei and has experience with the Brazil U21 national team.
Montana announced the transfer with a short message on social media.
"Joao Vitor joins Montana for the 26/27 season!" the club wrote.

Joao Vitor was born on July 7, 2003, in Goiânia, Brazil. He is 194 cm tall and will play as an opposite hitter for Montana.
Montana's new signing began his volleyball career as an outside hitter. He played for Goiás Vôlei, after which he continued his development in the Sesi system.
During the 2021/22 season, he was part of Sesi U21, and subsequently also played for Sesi-Bauru U21. His performance with the youth teams opened the door to the Sesi Bauru senior squad, for which he competed in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
It was with Sesi Bauru that Joao Vitor achieved one of the greatest successes in his club career. He was part of the squad that won the title in the Brazilian Superliga in the 2023/24 season.
Joao Vitor also has experience with the Brazilian national jersey. In 2023, he was part of the country's U21 national team, competing as an outside hitter at that time.
After his period at Sesi Bauru, the Brazilian returned to Goiás and defended the colors of Saneago Goiás Vôlei during the 2025/26 season. There, he was already used as an opposite hitter – the position he is also listed for as Montana's new signing.
The transfer to Bulgaria will be a new stage in the career of the 23-year-old Brazilian. Having developed entirely in his homeland until now, Joao Vitor will take his first steps in European club volleyball with the Montana team.
