LOVB Austin is the first champion in the new American league

🏐The story began: LOVB Austin is the first champion in the new American league!🥇

League One Volleyball (LOVB) now has its first champion - Austin! In the historic final on April 13th at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, the Texas team crushed Omaha with a decisive 3:0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-21) and triumphed in the professional league's debut season. 💥

🎯 Madison Skinner was undeniable – 25 points, 3 aces, 7 digs in defense, and 2 assists – and deservedly clinched the MVP title of the final. Alongside her, Logan Eggleston also shone with 22 points, and Alessia Gennari became one of the first Italian players to win a title in the new American league 🏆.

🔥 A final between underdogs? Yes, but with heroic comebacks! Austin and Omaha finished the regular season with a modest 5 wins and 11 losses, but in the playoffs, they shocked everyone – both teams made two comebacks from 0-2 against favorites like Salt Lake, Atlanta, Madison, and Houston. In the last match, however, there was no intrigue – Austin dominated in all elements and deservedly made history. 🏅

📅 The league was founded in 2020 but officially launched in January 2025 with 6 teams: Atlanta, Houston, Madison, Salt Lake, Omaha, and Austin.

📘 A new beginning for professional women's volleyball in the USA – and the first golden page has already been written by Austin! 🇺🇸✨
