Marco Fenoglio's days at the helm of Fenerbahce's women's team are numbered - the Italian will part ways with the club at the end of the season, Italian journalist Alessandro Garotta reports. According to him, the parting was foreshadowed after the disappointment in the Champions League, even though the goal for the season remains - winning the Sultans League and finishing with three national trophies.
Meanwhile, the management of the Turkish giant is already working on selecting a new coach. According to information gathered from sources close to the club, at the top of the list of candidates is the BrazilianBernardinho Rezende- a legendary coach who is considered ideal for a new stage in the "yellow-blues" project. Meetings are expected in the coming days to discuss a possible agreement.
If negotiations with Bernardinho are not successful, Fenerbahce has other options. The second strong candidate isMarcello Abbondanza, who already led the team between 2013 and 2017 and is well known to fans and management. After winning the title in South Korea with Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders, the Italian is once again in the club's focus.
The third name on the list is another Brazilian strategist -Zé Roberto, the current coach of the Brazilian women's national team. Although a less likely option, his candidacy is not entirely ruled out.
