Former Slavia players Apostol Boyanov and Viktor Bodurov have not yet made final decisions about their future. Boyanov is leaving Neftochimic and is considering joining his home club, which will now play in the elite league. A decision on this matter is expected by mid-month, the club announced. Similarly, Bodurov will not continue with Dobrudzha and has not yet decided where he will play next season, with joining the 'whites' not ruled out.

Meanwhile, Neftochimic faces serious changes after an unsuccessful season that led to elimination in the quarterfinals, according to colleagues from '24 Chasa'. The six-time Bulgarian champions had not experienced such a failure since 2014. Following this setback, the club will undergo a 'purge' of its squad. Almost all key players, including captain Aksel Truhchev, are parting ways with the team. Truhchev, who had a contract for next season, will leave after a preliminary agreement with the club, '24 Chasa' claims.

Also, former national team players Rozalin Penchev, Vladislav Ivanov, Krasimir Georgiev, and Dobromir Dimitrov (we reported Dimitrov's departure a month and a half ago, which was at his request, editor's note!), as well as David Krastev, will not continue with Neftochimic. In the middle of the season, setter Stiliyan Asenov also left, moving to Slavia, whichvolleyweek.bgfirst reported.

The club, under the leadership of Francesco Cadeddu, will focus on building a new team, with only a few players remaining with contracts for next season: middle blocker Ventsislav Ragin, 21-year-old opposite Stoyan Dimitrov, and 18-year-old libero Yasen Petrov, who is the brother of national team player Georgi Petrov.
