Halkbank's team officially announced their parting with head coach Igor Kolakovic. A club statement noted that the decision was made by mutual agreement:

👉"We parted by mutual agreement with Igor Kolakovic, who took over as head coach of our team at the beginning of the season. We thank him and wish him success in his future career."

The Turkish giant is preparing to participate in the CEV Champions League Final Four, but their performance in the local league did not meet expectations. Halkbank finished outside the top 4 in the regular season of the SMS Grup Efeler Ligi and lost the final of the Turkish Cup – AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley.

In their first match of the playoffs for places 5-8, the capital team lost 1:3 to ON Hotels Alanya Bld. Spor.
