Bulgarian international Kalina Veneva has officially started a new chapter in her career. Her Italian club, Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia, published the first official team photo for the 2026/27 season, in which the outside hitter is already posing with her new teammates and coaching staff.
The photograph was published on the club's official social media profiles hours before the start of pre-season training. Millenium Brescia officially begins its preparations on August 4th, with the program including a team presentation, a media session, and the first training sessions in the following days.
For Kalina Veneva, this will be her debut season in the Italian Serie A1 – one of the strongest club championships in the world, after she transferred to Millenium Brescia this summer.
The publication of the first official team photo comes just a few days after a controversy erupted around Kalina Veneva's name in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation announced that the outside hitter did not report at the start of the national team's preparation for the European Championship, and the case will be reviewed by the Federation's Management Board. Regardless, Veneva is already in Italy and beginning preparations with her new club, Millenium Brescia.
