The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has officially confirmed that São Paulo will host the Women's Club World Championship in 2026. The tournament will take place from December 8 to 13 in the "Wlamir Marques" arena, located within the Corinthians complex, with a capacity of approximately 7,000 spectators.
This will be the 19th edition of the competition and the fourth time the Brazilian metropolis has hosted the Club World Championship, following 1991, 1994, and 2025.
An interesting detail comes from the specialized Portal Vôlei Brasil, which reports that among the participants will be the Turkish powerhouse Eczacıbaşı, whose roster for the new season includes Bulgarian national player Iva Dudova. According to the Brazilian media, the other Turkish giant VakıfBank will also participate in the tournament, although FIVB has not yet published the official list of all eight teams.
Currently, confirmed participants are the host Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde and the South American champion SESI Bauru, who secured their quotas after the final of the continental club championship.
The Club World Championship will be held in the familiar format. The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semifinals. Group stage matches will be played on December 8, 9, and 10, the semifinals are on December 12, and the final and third-place match will take place on December 13.
Pre-sale of tickets begins on August 8 via the Ticketmaster platform, and general sale is scheduled for August 27. Organizers remind that tickets for the 2025 tournament sold out just 40 minutes after going on sale.
