Again without Bulgaria at the "Hubert Wagner" Memorial

This year, TAURON Arena will host the XXII Hubert Jerzy Wagner Memorial, which will feature the national teams of Poland, as well as Serbia, Brazil, and Argentina. The volleyball festival in Krakow will take place from August 29 to 31, 2025. Ticket sales have already begun.

It will be a unique event in an important year for Polish sports. The tournament will be a dress rehearsal for the "White Eagles" before the World Championship, which will be played in the Philippines from September 12.

"We are happy with such a strong lineup for the Memorial; great teams guarantee the highest sports level and unique emotions. We want to experience them together with the best fans in the world," Cezary Mroz, president of the Hubert Jerzy Wagner Foundation, the tournament organizer, told the Polish Plus Liga website.

Unfortunately, Bulgaria will once again be absent from the participants. Our national team was last part of the prestigious tournament in 2016, when they not only participated but also triumphed, winning the competition after a 3:0 victory over Belgium. This remains Bulgaria's only title in the history of the Wagner Memorial, from which it has a full set of medals - 2010 - silver, 2014 - bronze.
