Dimitar Karov has been nominated again for the World Volleyball Hall of Fame

Dimitar Karov has once again been nominated for the World Volleyball Hall of Fame, the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation announced. Our legend has participated in three Summer Olympic Games. He helped achieve their best ranking – fourth place in 1972. Karov's greatest successes are a silver medal from the 1970 World Championship and the European Champions Cup with CSKA in 1969. He was honored as one of the greatest volleyball players by the European Confederation CEV in 2019.

The other male candidates for the Hall of Fame are Diego Lopera (Cuba), Ivan Miljković (Serbia), Kim Ho Chul (South Korea), and Alain Fabiani (France). Voting began today and will last until April 14th. Every volleyball fan can cast their vote more than once.

Voting is at the following link:https://www.volleyhall.org/ivhf-fan-vote.html
Currently, there are three Bulgarians in the Hall. These are Dimitar Zlatanov and Boris Gyuderov (posthumously) among the players, as well as Vasil Simov among the coaches.
