The Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB) officially announced Hubert Henno as the new head coach of the Spanish men's national team. The French specialist will lead Spain in the upcoming Golden European League and in the qualifiers for the 2026 European Championship.
Henno, 48, is a legend of French volleyball, with an impressive 254 caps for the national team. His trophy cabinet includes two Champions League titles, one CEV Cup, and championship titles from the French, Italian, and Russian leagues. After ending his playing career in 2019, Henno coached Nantes Rezé Métropole Volley from 2021 to 2024, and before that, he led Tours VB from 2019 to 2021.
From May, Henno will take charge in Guadalajara, where the national team will begin its preparation for the upcoming competitive season.
RFEVB President Felipe Pascual welcomed the decision: "This marks a new era for Spanish men's volleyball. Hubert brings energy, vision, and a winning mentality. We believe he is the right leader to elevate the level of our game."
Alongside his commitments to the national team, Henno will continue to coach the Polish club Cuprum Stilon Gorzów, balancing both coaching positions.
