As Polish media had predicted, this year the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) did not announce an All-Star team for the Volleyball Nations League, but only honored the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
The award was deservedly given to Poland's outside hitter Tomasz Fornal, who made a key contribution to defending the title after the dramatic 3:2 (25:22, 18:25, 20:25, 25:22, 15:10) victory over the USA in the final in Ningbo (China).
The 28-year-old volleyball player finished the final match with 15 points, impressing with as many as 5 aces from serve.

Fornal demonstrated a high and consistent level throughout the tournament and was one of the leaders of "Drużyna Polska" on their way to their second consecutive title in the Volleyball Nations League. It was precisely because of his overall performance that he deservedly received the individual award for the Most Valuable Player of the competition. This also brings him a check worth 30,000 dollars.
The FIVB's decision not to name an All-Star team represents a change from previous editions of the tournament. In 2025, in addition to the MVP, the traditional All-Star team was also announced, but this season the federation limited itself only to awarding the most valuable player.
