Gordan Lyutskanov and his Evolution Green Aversa were eliminated from the Serie A2 playoffs after losing0:3 (24-26, 20-25, 17-25)to MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo in the semifinal series. The Bulgarian outside hitter recorded8 points, but it wasn't enough to stop their ambitious opponent.

Difficult start and missed opportunity

Aversa fought hard in the first set, which was decided at the end after extra points. Lyutskanov was among the most active in attack, but Cuneo showed stability and edged out the set 26-24.

Cuneo imposed their will

The second set started with hesitation for Aversa, which allowed the visitors to take the lead. Pinali's strong serve and Cuneo's effective block tilted the scales in their favor – 25-20.

No chance for a comeback

The third set was entirely under Cuneo's control. Despite the efforts of Lyutskanov and Mozzo, the hosts made too many errors and lost decisively 17-25, thus bidding farewell to their dream of a final and promotion.

Cuneo continues the fight for a place in the SuperLega, while Aversa finishes the season with a semifinal appearance.
