The No. 8-ranked CSUN Northridge men's volleyball team lost the season series to No. 18 UC Santa Barbara after the Gauchos earned a 3-1 (21:25, 25:19, 20:25, 15:25) Big West victory on Saturday at The Thunderdome.
CSUN's Jalen Phillips (15-7, 0-4 Big West) finished with 10 kills (.091), while freshman Shane Nhem added nine kills (.615) and a match-high eight blocks.Stiliyan Delibosov recorded 8 points (3 aces) and attacked with 40% efficiency.
CSUN Northridge returns home next weekend to host two 'Bulgarian' derbies against No. 4 Hawai'i on Friday and Saturday at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
