Levski's women's team won their first semi-final match against CSKA with a decisive 3:0 (25:14, 25:14, 25:22). The victory took place in front of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova. According to her, she sympathized with the "reds", but even that didn't help Yulia Ivanova's girls record more than one game of resistance.
The first game started with a bang for the hosts, who took the initiative from the very beginning and left no doubt as to who was better on the court (25:14).
The intrigue returned at the beginning of the second part, when CSKA managed to equalize 14:14, after which there was only one team on the court - that of the "blues", who closed the game with the same score after an attack by Mikaela Stoyanova.
The third game was the most tied, in which the "reds" managed to take the lead from the very beginning, maintaining their advantage with strong performances by Okoro and Stanchulova. Several equalizations followed (15:17, 16:16, 17:17), after which the initiative passed to the hosts' court. Koleva and Stoyanova played well, through whom Radoslav Arsov's girls managed to take the lead in the score, not allowing a comeback. The visitors got within one point of their opponent (22:21), but their strength was only enough to win one more point.
The next match is on April second in "Vasil Simov" hall.
In the other semi-final, champion Maritsa (Plovdiv) started with a victory against CPVC in the National Volleyball League for women. The "yellow and blues" recorded a clean 3:0 (25:14, 25:23, 25:17) games victory in the first match between the two teams in the semi-final series, which is played to three wins out of five matches.
