Monika Krasteva and Alba Blaj triumphed with the Romanian Cup

Alba Blaj triumphs with the Romanian Cup for the fifth time! 🏆

The volleyball team Alba Blaj won the Romanian Women's Volleyball Cup for the first time in three years and for the fifth time in its history!

The final was played on Saturday evening in the 'Polivalenta' hall in Blaj, where the hosts faced CSO Voluntari. After two hours and eight minutes of battle, Alba Blaj triumphed 3:1 (25:22, 22:25, 25:21, 25:11).

The first three sets were contested, but in the fourth set the team from Ilfov could not withstand, and the hosts imposed total superiority and closed the match convincingly.

Heroine of the final 🎖️
Amelie Rotar, the Frenchwoman with Romanian roots, played a phenomenal match, scoring 29 points! She was named the MVP of the final. Second in scoring for Alba Blaj was Elizaveta Ruban with 21 points.

For Voluntari, Rodica Buterez recorded 20 points, but this was not enough to stop Alba Blaj's championship momentum.

📊Monica Krasteva did not play, and Mira Todorova (Voluntari) finished with a modest 3 points.
