Bulgarian national team captain Alex Grozdanov will continue to play for Bogdanka LUK Lublin next season, Polish media report. The middle blocker had a strong season with 30 matches played before the playoffs, scoring 253 points (19 aces and 74 blocks). He remains a key figure for the club, sharing first place among middle blockers in the league along with Mostafa Mbaye and Rune Fasteland.

Which players are staying and which are joining?

In addition to Grozdanov, star player Wilfredo Leon is also expected to remain with Bogdanka. The Olympic silver medalist is one of the top scorers in PlusLiga and leads the ranking for best server with 45 aces. According to club president Skubishewski, negotiations with Leon are at an advanced stage and official confirmation of his contract extension is expected.

Denean Giema, who is playing for French club Arago de Sète this season, will also join the team. Giema made an impression with his performance and will move to Bogdanka LUK Lublin after the end of the season.

The coaching staff will also undergo a change – French specialist Stéphane Antiga returns to Poland and will take the place of Massimo Botti, who will take over Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.

Radoslav Parapunov will leave Skra after an unsuccessful season, in which he played only 5 matches before the playoffs and scored 13 points (1 ace, 1 block). The Bulgarian opposite is looking for a new club, and if he doesn't find a suitable option, a return to CSKA remains a likely possibility.

Asparuh Asparuhov is not yet confirmed for Poland!

Asparuh Asparuhov is also on the verge of changing teams. Kuzbass does not intend to rely on the Bulgarian international for next season and his future remains unclear. Polish Suwalki no longer considers Asparuhov, so we are yet to find out where the outside hitter will go.
