The final for the Greek Women's Volleyball Cup pitted two well-known specialists against each other – former coaches of the Bulgarian national team, Dragan Nesic and Lorenzo Micelli. Ultimately, victory went to Olympiacos, led by Micelli, who dramatically overcame Nesic's Panionios 3-2 in sets (25-17, 16-25, 25-15, 18-25, 12-15) in 122 minutes.
Nesic's team, which includes setter Kristina Guncheva, led 2-1 in sets but failed to withstand the pressure from the red-and-whites. Olympiacos showed class and orchestrated a comeback after an 18-25 score in the fourth set, then took a 14-10 lead in the tie-break to win 15-12 and claim their 11th Cup in history.
Points for Panionios came from 3 aces, 52 attacks, 11 blocks, and 30 opponent errors, while for Olympiacos, they came from 6 aces, 56 attacks, 12 blocks, and 31 opponent errors.
Milica Kumbura was the top scorer for the champions with 29 points, while Sheridan Atkinson distinguished herself for Panionios with 23 points.
