The newcomer in efbet Super Volley, Metallurg (Pernik), continues to actively build its squad for the 2026/2027 season. The club's newest addition is 23-year-old central blocker Krasimir Mitev, who arrives from CSKA.
The 205-centimeter tall volleyball player spent the last four seasons with the "reds," where he gained significant experience in the elite of Bulgarian volleyball. Before that, Mitev played for Cherno More.

With the signing of Mitev, Metallurg now has seven new additions for its debut season in efbet Super Volley. Besides him, Tunisian national Hamza Hfaied, Hungarian setter Kristóf Tóth, central blocker Tomislav Rusev, opposite Mariyan Nakov, outside hitter Konstantin Manolev, and libero Hristo Kolev, who last season was chosen as the best libero in efbet Super Volley and finished as the best outside hitter in the championship, arrived in Pernik.
The club also managed to retain some of the key figures who earned the promotion to the elite. Remaining with Metallurg are opposite Lyuboslav Simeonov, outside hitter Metodi Metodiev, and libero Lyubomir Atanasov.
The team from Pernik also made a significant change in the coaching position. Italian specialist Francesco Mollo, who is the head coach of Bulgaria's men's B national team, will lead the team. He arrives after successful work in the academy and men's team of Ravenna, and besides the senior team, will also play a key role in the development of the club's youth academy.
With its active recruitment, Metallurg clearly demonstrates serious ambitions to be competitive already in its first season among the best teams in the Bulgarian championship.
