Ahmet GüLüm is the new president of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK)
On March 15, an Extraordinary General Assembly of TMOK was held at the Olympic House, where Ahmet GüLüm was elected president. He won with 185 votes against 150 for the outgoing president Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener.
The members unanimously approved the 2025 budget, and planned changes to the regulations were postponed.
Ahmet GüLüm, former president of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, thanked his opponent and stated that he would build upon what has been achieved to contribute to Turkish sports.

Ahmet Gülüm is a former national volleyball player, former president of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, member of the FIVB Marketing Board, founding president of the CEV Marketing Commission, founder of Sportsnet Group and BİLGİSpor. During his 23-year volleyball career, he captained the Galatasaray volleyball team and wore the national jersey 158 times. After retiring from volleyball as an athlete, he continued his passion on the business side of sports. In 1992, he led the group that brought the first international beach volleyball organization to Turkey. He was later elected president of the Turkish Volleyball Federation. His experience and vision led him to found Sportsnet in 2001, which is Turkey's first and only advertising agency related to sports. Subsequently, he established a partnership with the world's number one sports agency, Octagon. In 2010, he founded sportstv to promote a variety of sports in Turkey. In 2015, he founded BİLGİSpor, a bachelor's program in sports business, in collaboration with Bilgi University. He is an active lecturer in the program.
