Jastrzębski Węgiel will finish the regular season at the top after a victory over Bogdanka

Jastrzębski Węgiel secured first place in the regular season of the Polish championship one round before the end of the regular season after a 3:1 victory over Bogdanka LUK Lublin. Although the guests took the first set, the champions dominated the next three parts and closed the match in front of their home crowd.

Key moments:

✅ Bogdanka started strong and took the first set after a dramatic 29:27, thanks to Finnian McCarthy's serves.
✅ Jastrzębski Węgiel responded with a convincing performance by Carle and Fornal, who led the team forward.
✅ In the third set, Fornal and Guczka took control, and Brehme realized a decisive counter for 25:20.
✅ In the last set, Bogdanka fought to the end, but an attack by Vicentin put an end to the dispute – 25:23.

Bogdanka focuses on the Challenge Cup

After the loss in Poland, Bogdanka LUK Lublin heads to Italy for the rematch against Lube Civitanova in the Challenge Cup final. The Poles won the first match at home 3:1 and on Wednesday will fight for the trophy in Civitanova.

The guests visibly thought more about the European match, as star Leon finished with 16 points, without a single ace, and Bulgarian internationalAlex Grozdanov played only the first and second sets and finished with a modest 2 points from 6 attacks.

Only one round remains until the end of the main phase of the championship in Poland and it is certain that the champions will finish this part of the competition in first place in the table.
