Only three games separated Blaj from celebrations. Alba won them and led the local volleyball team to their fifth European final in the team's history! After winning 3-2 in Budapest against Vasas, Volley Alba Blaj needed a victory of any kind in the return leg to qualify for the CEV Cup final. Although Blaj is accustomed to continental finals, this was the most beautiful qualification in the team's history because it was the first achieved in Blaj itself, in front of the people who support the team. Until now, due to the lack of a hall that met the requirements, Volley Alba was forced to play either in Sibiu or in Târgu Mureș. Now, however, the multi-purpose hall, opened in the autumn of 2023, was ready for the biggest European match since its opening. This will be Blaj's fifth qualification to the final phase of a European tournament in the last 8 years! They have already played finals in the Champions League (2018), CEV Cup (2019 and 2023), and Challenger Cup (2021).

After 88 minutes of play, the scoreboard showed 3-0 (25:18, 25:22, 25:21). Ameri Rotar scored 20 points (2 blocks) and Elizaveta Ruban added 14 points (2 aces, 3 blocks) for the victory. Monika Krusteva did not fully participate in the match, recording only a few playing minutes in the second game, without result. In the final, Volley Alba Blaj will play against the winner of the Novara - THY Istanbul pair.
