Bulgaria's schedule for the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship has been announced

The Bulgarian women's national volleyball team begins its participation in the FIVB Women's World Championship 2025 with a match against Canada. The Group E match will take place on August 23 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, starting at 12:00 (GMT+03:00) / 16:00 local time (11:00 AM Bulgarian time). Besides Canada, our opponents in the group will be Turkey, against whom we play on August 25 at 15:30 (GMT+03:00) 19:30 (Local Time) (3:30 PM Bulgarian time) and Spain on August 27 at 15:30 (GMT+03:00) 19:30 (Local Time)(3:30 PM Bulgarian time).

🔥A great challenge for the "lionesses"🦁

Bulgaria will have to demonstrate its best in the tough competition of the World Championship. The team will aim to overcome the group stage and advance to the knockout rounds. The top two teams from each of the eight groups will qualify for the round of 16, which begins on August 29.

🌍Ready for a spectacle in Thailand!🏐✨

The FIVB Women's World Championship 2025 will be held in four iconic cities – Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Nakhon Ratchasima. The tournament will start on August 22 and will continue until September 7, when the new world champion will be determined 🏆.

📌Key highlights of the championship

🔹Opening matches on August 22 – Czech Republic 🇨🇿 against Argentina and Puerto Rico against France will kick off the championship.

🔹The reigning world championSerbia will begin their title defense against Ukraine on August 23.

🔹Italy, champion of the 2024 Volleyball Nations League and Olympic gold medalist 🥇, will face Slovakia.

🔹Host country Thailand will conclude the first day with a clash against Egypt in front of a home crowd.

🏆The road to the final

After the group stage, the tournament will proceed with the Round of 16 (August 29 – September 1), quarterfinals (September 3-4), and semifinals (September 6).The grand final will be played onSeptember 7 in Bangkok at 7:30 PM local time.
