The Bulgarian national teams U16 and U17 continue their winning streak at the Balkan Championships

The two Bulgarian youth national teams continue their successful performance at the Balkan Championships, having recorded new victories and remaining among the leaders in their respective tournaments.
At the U17 Girls' Balkan Championship in Ferizaj (Kosovo), Anton Vasilev's protégées achieved their third consecutive success, decisively defeating the host Kosovo 3-0 (25:18, 25:14, 25:13). The Bulgarian team faced no serious resistance, controlled the match from start to finish, and deservedly secured a clean victory. Darina Ivanova was the top scorer with 15 points, and Adriana Aleksieva added 13. After their third consecutive success, Bulgaria is the sole leader in the provisional standings with 9 points. Tomorrow (July 24) at 4:00 PM Bulgarian time, the national team will face Turkey in a direct clash between the two undefeated teams, with the Turkish team having three wins and 8 points.

The Bulgarian U16 Girls' national team is also performing excellently at the Balkan Championship in Grevena (Greece). The team, led by Evelina Tsvetanova, defeated Serbia 3-1 and recorded their second consecutive success in the tournament. The Bulgarians demonstrated a very strong serve, scoring 14 direct points from service with only 9 errors. Maria Bakova was the top scorer with 16 points, and Radostina Dobreva contributed another 15.

After a 1-3 defeat to Turkey in their first match, the U16 national team found their rhythm and now have two consecutive victories against Romania and Serbia. Their next match is tomorrow at 8:00 PM against the host Greece, where they will seek another success in the battle for the top spots.
