The Italian Women's Volleyball League (LVF) has published the schedule for the 2026/27 Serie A1 season, and the calendar also features two "Bulgarian" derbies between Mikaela Stoyanova and Kalina Veneva.
Stoyanova will defend the colors of CBF Balducci HR Macerata, while Veneva will play for Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia. The two will face each other twice in the regular season – first on October 25, 2026, in Brescia, and the second match is scheduled for January 10, 2027, in Macerata. The Italian championship begins on the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026. The regular season includes 26 rounds with a symmetrical schedule and will conclude on March 13 and 14, 2027. Three midweek rounds are scheduled during the season – on October 21, November 11, and December 9. An additional holiday round will take place on January 6, 2027, which will mark the championship's resumption after a nine-day break from the last matches of 2026, scheduled for December 26 and 27.
The Italian Supercup between Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci will take place on the weekend of October 24 and 25, with the venue yet to be determined.
The quarterfinals of the Italian Cup are scheduled for December 23. They will feature the top eight teams in the standings after the end of the first half of the season. The tournament's Final Four will be held on February 13 and 14, 2027.
The title playoffs will feature the top eight teams from the regular season. The quarterfinals will be played in two matches with home and away legs, and in case of a tie, there will be a "golden set". The semifinal and final series will be best-of-five.
The Challenge Cup playoffs will again be direct elimination with two matches and a potential "golden set". The teams ranked from 9th to 12th place will start first in the Challenge playoffs, after which they will be joined by the teams eliminated from the first round of the title playoffs.
The dates for the "Bulgarian" derby between Mika Stoyanova and Kalina Veneva in Women's Serie A1 in Italy have become clear.
