The Russian men's national team is beginning preparations for its first training camp after the decision by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) to readmit Russian national teams to international competitions.
"As for our immediate plans, we will not change them after the FIVB's decision for our full return to the volleyball family," Russia's head coach Konstantin Bryansky told TASS. "Currently, the players are preparing with their clubs. In August, we have planned a training cycle with the national team. Only 14 volleyball players will be called up for the camp, but I must immediately clarify that this is far from the complete list of candidates. We have many more high-quality players who can strengthen the team if necessary."
