The Russian men's national team is beginning preparations for its first training camp after the decision by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) to readmit Russian national teams to international competitions.
"As for our immediate plans, we will not change them after the FIVB's decision for our full return to the volleyball family," Russia's head coach Konstantin Bryanski told TASS. "Currently, the players are training with their clubs. In August, we have planned a training cycle with the national team. Only 14 volleyball players will be called up for the camp, but I must immediately clarify that this is far from the complete list of candidates. We have many more high-class players who can strengthen the team if necessary." Russian media recall that an international tournament is planned for late August in Ufa with the participation of Russia, Belarus, Cuba, and Egypt.

Russia squad:
Setters:Pavel Pankov (Dynamo Moscow), Roman Poroshin (Belogorie Belgorod).
