Radostin Stoychev: "We are not favorites against Piacenza, but we will give our all."

Verona's coach analyzed the upcoming playoffs against Piacenza, emphasizing the opponent's class and experience:

"They have Simon the best middle blocker in Italy for the last 15 years, Maar a Canadian international with vast experience in Italy, Galassi the best middle blocker at the moment, Brizard an Olympic champion, and Kovacevic. It's obvious that experience and quality are on their side."

Although Verona has already defeated Piacenza during the season, the coach stressed that the playoffs are a completely different competition: "Here, matches are won not only by play, but also by mental resilience and emotional control. We will have to be maximally focused."

Verona's Form and Key Players

He admitted that the team is not in perfect form, but pointed out that the most important thing is "to give 100% on the court, regardless of our current condition."

Special attention was given to Adama Keita, who is the league's leading scorer and has the ability to decide matches in key moments. "In Taranto, he made the difference in three consecutive sets. We hope he continues in the same spirit in the playoffs."

Another important player is Evert, who in a short time has proven to be an exceptionally balanced competitor. "He has technique in all elements reception, attack, serve, defense, and even blocking. In the last two matches, he was a key figure for us."

Coach Change in Piacenza

Verona's coach also commented on the coaching change in Piacenza: "When things don't go well, the coach is the first to take responsibility, but change doesn't always have a long-term effect. In the short term, it motivates players to prove that the fault is not theirs, but the team's actual level does not change drastically."

Conclusion

Verona will rely on its home advantage, but the coach emphasized that "in the playoffs there are no guarantees what matters is who will control emotions and show more mature play under pressure."
