Romanian Craiova qualified for the semifinals of the men's championship after defeating Steaua Bucharest for the second time. Following a 3:1 victory in Craiova, Svetoslav Stankov and co. achieved a decisive 3:0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:13) away win.

Dimitar Dulchev did not participate in this match, but this did not prevent his teammates from triumphing over the capital's team. Bojan Strugar finished with the most points for the winners - 15, while Marin Dukic added another 12 for the victory. Setter Svetoslav Stankov scored 6 points (5 blocks). None of the hosts surpassed the ten-point mark. Thus, in the final qualifiers, Craiova will play against the champions from Brasov, and the big surprise of the current edition, Zalau, will face Dinamo Bucharest.

With their qualification for the championship semifinals, Craiova also secured a spot in the next edition of the European Cups.
